Women have long played a role in Egypt’s political journey (and, indeed the whole region) – from protesting outside the British embassy sans hijabs in the early forties to tackling policemen with as much courage as their brothers.
Yesterday, a friend statused “Egypt needs her sons” – I would disagree.
