They are often humanitarian in basis and follow the tenet ‘If one member suffers all suffer with it. If one member is honoured all rejoice together with it.’

You cannot argue with that.

Unfortunately, all foreign Christians in the region are suspected of being Zionists and that tired narrative closes the ears of those who need to hear there is another side of the story.

We are called to live out Christ’s commands to feed the hungry, clothe the naked, encourage the down-trodden, visit the prisoner. No ulterior motive, just for the sake of serving.

Until both sides submit…this man and the hundreds like him in this region are quietly living out Christ’s commands without a big organization or lots of press. They do make a difference.

Until both sides submit to allowing the other side to exist, there can be no peace. Not in Isreal, not on the West Bank, not in Gaza, not anywhere. To think otherwise is naive.
