It’s not too often that the viewpoints of Israeli settlers are expressed in greater detail – rather, their sentiments are more frequently demonstrated through the media via violent actions.

While I am not in agreement with their actions, the following slide show, accompanied by a narrative by Ofra settlement resident Ruchie Avital, provides an interesting insight into settler perspectives:

More significantly, it highlights the dogmatism held by both sides: both the Palestinians and Israelis want peace, but both refuse to relinquish their right to the land.

The Palestinians were there first, but the settlers ardently adhere to the notion that they have a right to claim the land.

Regardless of which side you are on, it is clear that the passion that fuels the protagonists will never die down.
