One cannot help but feel a tingling pride at the initiative being taken in Jordan by a group of bloggers, journalists and human rights experts.
Moving the issue of honor crimes out of the blogosphere and into society gives ideas and attempts to change the status quo added momentum.
For this reason, I cannot help but cheer Kinzi et al, and urge any readers in the Jordanian vicinity to become involved.
Just as Geoffrey Chaucer once scribbled, “as an ook cometh of a litel spyr”, so too can much needed change arise from the seedlings of actions.

Thx for cheering them on!!! Yes, those ladies are leading on, they are meeting again as I type (I’m the only mom of the group, had kid obligations)
They are doing an amazing job of instructing themselves, connecting with other interested people, inviting experts. They are not coming as ‘saviours’ for women of another class, but coming alongside and listening.
This is def a NEW generation. They are not stuck in status quo, by any means, and are creating a new destiny for other women.
Hurrah! And a million more times ‘hurrah’! Here’s hoping the group and its cause goes from strength to strength!
