At least, that is the reality facing Nazareth City Councilor Ze’ev Hartman after he responded to the Israeli Independence Day voxpop with the wish that “all Arabs disappear”.
Just in case he was misunderstood, he reiterated that he was “absolutely serious”.
In response, Upper Nazareth’s spokesman for Arab Affairs, George Shahada, took the recording and registered a complaint of racism and incitement.
Hartman is now being investigated by the police at the behest of the State Prosecution.
Let us see if he can wish this away. Absolutely seriously wish it away…
