Israelis and Palestinians: Then and Now in Pictures

As a taboo subject, the likening of Israeli actions against the Palestinians to that which their grandparent’s suffered during World War II still attracts controversy.
While the notion of ‘agressed-becomes-aggressor’ is bandied about, the following images lend the notion a poignant visual element:

The tragedy of these images is that they remind us not only of how horrendous the Holocaust was, but how similar tactics are being utilized today without impunity.
It could be contended that there are no death camps in the mold of Auschwitz-Birkenau – but does that render the eerily familiar actions above any less disturbing?
