This Saturday’s PhotoHunt theme is “support”.
At first, “support” appeared as challenging as last week’s “pointed“, but within moments it morphed into another quandary altogether: how to represent the plethorific facets of support?
Support can be tangible: construction, buildings, holding, and moving; it can also be religious: prayers, crosses, places of worship and holy books that sustain us in our daily lives and the tribulations we confront.
Support could also be interpreted as the people around us, who make our lives more amenable: our parents, grandparents, friends, and lovers.
Today, however, I opted for a religious theme and present the rather candid Catholic Priest, captured during a jaunt to Kraków, Poland:

So very true!
Have a good day.
Great support theme. And I love the b&w. Doesn’t the priest in the shot look incredibly strong?
Oh I love your candid support. And the fact you did it in B&W makes it even better in my opinion. Have a great weekend.
excellent choice for the theme
Thank you!
Nina – your photos cracked me up
Mike – that is another beautifully nostalgic and evocative image!
Queen of My Domain – I do like the angle: very unusual
Lastly, Sarge Charlie, your images are also nostalgic, but equally profound. A deep take on “support”, for sure. Thank you for sharing those with us.
This is wonderful…and obviously very candid. I love the look on the man’s face – so reverent in the presence of the priest. The b&w makes this photo much more real.
Thank you Leslie
I particularly like the way your images reflect the support of family life – they are very poignant!
