As evidence that I am perhaps passing more time than is absolutely necessary on Flickr, here is another amazing group, Speak Up For Peace.

The concept is simple: assuming the original image (below) as a template, Flickrees were invited to post their variations in support of Lebanon.

Established during the 2006 war, contributors are compelled to muse “what if a bomb came in through your window one day… Wouldn’t you want someone to speak up if you couldn’t?”

The group seems almost redundant now, and with the recent skirmishes we can only hope there will not be a need for such groups in the near future.
