…mushabak: possibly the yummiest, most sinful dessert in the world. What I wouldn’t do for one at this moment!

Sadly, the supplier of these heavenly delicacies in my town holds perhaps the most unsavoury: parched, pale and often with a touch of fluff fossilized within the aged syrup, it makes one pine for the towers of mushabak at the Habib stores of downtown Amman.
